Juventus 1996
Coach: Marcello Lippi
Achievements: European Cup 1996; Finalists 97, 98
Key Players: Ravanelli, Vialli, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Zidane, Davids, Deschamps, Ferrara, Paoloa Sousa
Star Player: Zidane, Del Piero
Formation: 5-3-2

Reaching three European Cup Finals in 3 years, Juventus dominated the mid 1990s. The team they finished this period with was probably better than the one they started it with, although only this first team won the European Cup. Based on a typically tight Italian defence there was also a succession of great Italian forwards (Ravanelli and Vialli being replaced by Del Piero and Inzaghi) and foreign midfield dynamos such as Paolo Sousa and Edgar Davids. The greatest import was the Frenchman Zidane, providing the genius to this Juventus side in the same way Platini did in the previous decade.
