Brazil 1982
Coach: Tele Santana
Achievements: Second group stage - 1982 World Cup
Key Players: Zico, Socrates, Falcao, Cerezo, Eder, Junior
Star Player: Zico, Socrates
Formation: 4-2-2-2

This team never acheived any real success on the international stage but it remians one of the most fondly remembered today. This is because of the verve of the attacking football they played, which proved a reminder of the great 1970 Brazil team. This team didn't have the same quality throughout as that team but it did boast one of the greatest midfields of all time. Zico and Socrates, in particular, are two of the greatest attacking midfielders the game has seen. The team lined up in a 4-2-2-2 formation, which was to become a Brazilian hallmark, and made good use of attacking fullbacks (such as Junior). Ultimately the strikeforce and defence were somewhat lacking and the team was over-reliant on its brilliant midfield. Nevertheless, they are still great to watch.
